5 Elements MMA and fitness collectively teach martial arts and fitness, and the lessons we teach are too valuable to allow anybody to fall behind. Being fit of body, mind and spirit should be available to all people regardless of age, gender, race, social status, or health and physical ability. That is the purpose of 5 Elements MMA and Fitness. We provide programs that give all people a chance to excel at being who they truly are inside and outside of the gym walls.
5 Elements takes 5 components to create 5 pieces of a whole; each element is unique on its own and works together in conjunction with the other elements to allow a plan to come together. The 5 Elements system is based off of a book called the Book of Five Rings by Musashi Miyamoto, an undefeated Samurai in the 1600s that explained 5 Elements in life using the 5 Elements, and the only way to understand is to read the book and experience the teachings in your own life. Much like in real life, we all have our own unique experience and response to everything around us, and we have found the most fundamental areas that we work on can be broken down into 5 Elements that an individual can work on. Once the individual is ready to move on and learn more those Elements branch off into another set of 5 Elements to work on other areas.
